IEEE Gujarat Section comes under Asia-Pacific Region, Region 10 of IEEE. In 2004 Gujarat Section was adjudged the Outstanding Small Section of Region 10. The section has emphasis on quality programmes and such programmes are regular features for professional development of its members. The section's participative philosophy allows students to make programmes as per their own need. The section encourages students and has instituted awards for student members.
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat (SVNIT) is one of India's premier engineering institutes located in Surat, Gujarat. Established in 1961 as a Regional Engineering College, it was later granted the status of a National Institute of Technology (NIT). The institute is known for excellence in engineering education, research, and innovation. SVNIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, science, and technology.
